Tomato Kurma For Idli, Dosa

Ingredients;
Tomatoes – 2
Onion -1 or 1 cup finely chopped
Green chillies -2 slit
Turmeric powder -a pinch
Coriander powder – 1 tsp
Chilli powder -1/2 tsp
Garam Masala Powder – 1tsp
Salt needed

Temper

Oil – 1 tbsp
Cinnamon -1 inch piece
Cloves -2
Fennel seeds/Sombu – 3/4 tsp
Curry leaves – few

To Grind:

Grated coconut -1/4 cup
Cinnamon -1 inch piece
Cloves -2
Fennel seeds/Sombu – 3/4 tsp

Method

:

Heat a kadai with oil.


Add Clove, Fennel Seeds, Cinnamon ,Onion, Curry leaves.. Saute until onions turn golden brown


Add finely chopped tomatoes and little bit of salt. Fry until it becomes soft.


Add  coriander powder, chilli powder, turmeric powder, Garam Masala powder and salt needed.


First grind coconut, Clove, Cinnamon,and fennel with little water to a fine paste


Add Little Water and boil it


Add the ground paste and boil for 3-4 minutes.


Adjust water consistency if it is too thick.


 

Ready to Serve
