Vendakkai Kootu

Ingredients

Vendakkai /Lady’s finger – 8 pieces
Moong dal / Toor dal – ½ cup ( cooked)
Turmeric powder – ½ tsp
Sambar powder/ chili powder – 1tbsp
Salt – as needed
Water

Temper

Oil – 1tbsp
Onion -1
Tomato – 1
Green chili- 2
Curry leaves – few

Method

Cut the  head and the tail and cut it into roundels.


Heat oil in a kadai  & add  vendakkai . saute  and cook until nicely browned


Heat oil in a  same  kadai


Add Onion and curry leaves


Add Tomatoes  .Saute the tomatoes till they become mushy.


Add fried ladies finger


Add Cup of water . Mix well


Add salt


Add Sambar powder


Mix well and cooo for 2 min


Add Cooked Moong dal.


Boil it


Cook till it gets the right consistency
