Chicken Kulambu

Ingredients

Chicken – ½ kg
Onion – 2
Tomato – 2
Ginger garlic paste – 1tbsp
Turmeric powder- 1tsp
Coriander powder – 3tbsp
Chili powder- 2tbsp
Cumin powder – 1tsp

Temper

Oil – 2tbsp
Cloves – 4
Cinnamon – 1 inch
Fennel seeds powder- 1tsp
Kadal paasi – 1 tsp
Cardamom – 2 pods
Star anis

Marination

Chicken – 1/2kg
chilli powder – 1tsp
turmeric powder – 1tsp
Curd / Yogurt – 1tbsp
Coriander powder – 1tbsp
Salt- 1/2tsp

Method:

Marinate the chicken with 1 tsp chilli powder,1/4 tsp turmeric , Curd, Coriander powder, 1/2 tsp  , salt . Mix Well


Marinate for 30 mins


Heat a kadai add in 2 tbsp oil


When the oil is hot add the spices –  cardamom, cloves, cinnamon stick , Kalpasi, Star anis


Add onions , Green Chili, Curry  leaves


Add fennel seeds powder


Saute until onions turn golden brown


Add finely chopped tomatoes and little bit of salt. Fry until it becomes soft.


Add Ginger Garlic Paste


Add  coriander powder, chilli powder, turmeric powder, Garam Masala powder ,Cumin powder and salt needed.


 

 Add little bit water.mix them well, till the raw smell of spice powder


Add little bit water and boil it.


Add marinated Chicken


Cover and cook


Adjust salt and thick consistency


Like this


 

Serve with Rice
