Kola Fish Fry / Garfish Fry

Ingredients

Kola fish / Pachai Murral fish- 1 kg
Red Chili Powder – 2 tbsp
Turmeric powder – 1 tsp
Corn Flour powder -2 tsp
Garam masala powder – 1tsp
Salt – as you’re needed
Water
Oil- 2 tsp ( Shallow Fry in tawa)


Marinates

Kola fish / Pachai Murral fish- 1 kg
Red Chili Powder – 2 tbsp
Turmeric powder – 1 tsp
Corn Flour powder -2 tsp
Garam masala powder – 1tsp
Salt – as you’re needed
Water
Oil- 2 tsp ( Shallow Fry in tawa)


Method

  • Cut the fish. Just use 2 tbsp of rock salt and sprinkle the salt on the fish and rub the salt on the fish with your fingers and then wash it with lots of water. Drain the water completely. Because we are making a thick masala paste.
  • Take a bowl or plate, add masala powder (red chili powder, turmeric powder, garam masala powder, corn flour powder, salt,Pour some cooking oil and squeeze on the fish & mix well. Let the fish marinate in this spices for 45 minutes.
  • Heat a tawa and grease it with oil, once the tawa is hot, place the fish pieces and let them cook for 2 minutes on one side.
  • Keep the flame in medium to prevent the fish from burning.
  • After 2 minutes flip the fish carefully using a spatula and let it cook on the other side for another 2 minutes.
  • Serve Hot ….
