White Channa Masala

Ingredients
White Channa – 1cup
Onion – 1 (Big)
Tomato – 1 (Big)
Turmeric Powder- ½ tsp
Chili powder – 1tbsp
Coriander powder – 1tbsp
Garam Masala powder – 1tsp
pepper Powder – 1tsp
Chicken masala powder – 1tbsp
Salt – as needed
Water

To Grind
Coconut – ½ cup
Curry leaves – few
Fennel seeds – ½ tsp

To Temper:
Cinnamon – 1inch
Cloves – 3
Bay leaf – 1
Star anis – 1
Cardamom – 1
Fennel seeds – 1tsp
Ginger – 1tsp
Garlic – 1tsp
Curry leaves – few

Method:

Heat oil in a Pressure cooker


Add Cinnamon, Star anis, Cloves, bay leaf , cardamom


Add Fennel seeds


Add Ginger, Garlic


Add onion, Curry leaves.Saute until onions transparent.


Add tomatoes,Cook until tomatoes soft and mushy


mix well


Add Turmeric Powder , chilli powder, coriander powder,Garam Masala powder,Chicken masala powder .Salt


Add little water , & boil


Grind Coconut, Fennel seeds, Curry leaves


Grind the  paste


Now add cooked channa


Mix well. now add pepper powder


Add 1 cup of water. mix well


Cook & cover 3 whistles


open the lid, mix well


now add coconut paste


boiled for 5 mins.


Like this.


Serve with chapathi, Roti
