Beetroot Poriyal

Ingredients:
To grind for masala: ( with out water)
Dry red chili – 2
Coconut – 1/4 cup
Small onion – 4
Garlic pods – 2
Pepper powder – 1/2 tsp
Cumin seeds – 1 tsp

for thoran:
Oil – 1tbsp
Mustred seeds – 1tsp
urad dal – 1tsp
Cumin seeds – 1/4 tsp
Curry leaves – few
Beetroot – 2( grated)
Water – 1/4 cup
Salt – as needed

Method

  • Clean and trim both the edges of beetroot & Scrap the Skin.
  • Chop Beetroot in Very Small Pieces.
  • Now Heat a Kadai , Add Mustared, Cumin Seeds . Saute a min.
  • Add Chopped Beetroot .Cook till raw smell leaves.
  • Add sprinkle little bit water, Cover and cook for 5 min.
  • Once Cooked Beetroot , add Coconut Mixture & Required Salt.
  • Cook for 3 to 5 mins.
