Manathakali keerai Sambar

ingredients
Manathakali keerai – 1 bunch
Toor dal – 1 cup
Oil – 1 tbsp
Ghee – 1tsp
Urad dal – 1 tsp
Fenugreek seeds – 1/2 tsp
Mustared seeds – 1 tsp
Cumin seeds – 1/4 tsp
Green chilli – 2
Hing – 1/2 tsp
Curry leaves – few
Onion – 1
Tomato – 2
Turmeric powder – 1 tsp
Red chilli powder – 2tsp
Coriander powder – 1 tbsp
Water – 1/4 cup
Salt – as per need

Method

  • Wash and Chop the Keerai roughly. Pressure cook Toor Dal, keep aside.
  • Heat Kadai, With Ghee+Oil, add the items under “To Temper” in order. Saute a Minute.
  • Then add Onion & Saute Until it turns light Brown.
  • Add Green Chili, Tomato Saute until the Tomato Smash.
  • Add Red Chili Powder, Coriander Powder, and Turmeric Powder & required Salt. Mix Well.
  • Add Manathakali Keerai, Sauté for 2- 5 Mins.
  • Add one cup of Water, Mix well and Boil for 3-5 mins Over the Simmer, Cover and Cook.
  • Lastly add cooked Toor Dal and boil for 2 minutes.

Ready to Serve With Hot Rice.
